Blank identification

Just to ownership of a rod in need of tlc. The guy who I had it off claims he paid a lot of money for it, don't they all ! He claims it's a ziplex blank ! Any pointers on getting an id if it is. Obviously, there's no id on the rod.

Sam would have to see a close up picture of the blank or even better in the flesh and then be able to tell you matey!

I haven't had much time to look closely yet Gaz.
I was told the history was he bought the blank for a lot of money, then took it to a 'Well known' local tackle shop who Whipped poor quaility eyes on it and done the worst heat shrink butt job I've ever seen. I think it's had a coloured laquer over the blank too  .
The blank feels nice in the hand albeit scabby to look at. I'll dig it out later and try and get some pictures up.
I was going to get it on the field and see what it performs like.
